Foothills Money Still Flowing for Fred

The campaign finance reports are in through 8/24/05, and Fred Ronstadt’s Foothills money is still flowing in.

Most of Fred’s contributors can’t vote in the City, but they certainly do open their wallets to help their candidate do their bidding:

  • Out of Fred’s 272 total contributors, only 30 individuals live in Ward 6!
  • 72% of his contributors live outside the City of Tucson!
  • His average contribution per individual is now up to $194.17.
  • To compare, our filing contains 478 total contributors, the vast majority of whom live in Ward 6, and our average contribution per individual is $50.37. Which candidate do you think really represents the interests of Ward 6 and the average Tucsonan? If you’d like to support that candidate, please fill out our contribution form and send in your check to join our efforts to take back our city.

Check this out in graphic form by viewing our updated interactive feature mapping Fred’s contributions. There’s now a fully interactive page mapping where the Friends O’ Farley contributors live. And there is an amazing comparison page that flips back and forth from a map of the Ronstadt contributions to a map of the Farley contributions: a revealing geography lesson without words.

Share this one with your friends, and encourage them to vote their conscience in the primary election on September 13, and in the general election on November 8. It’s about time we had a councilmember in Ward 6 who represents the people of the City of Tucson.

Great map. Very telling that Fred has little support in W.6. DRP

Steve, I think that your contribution comparison has been one the most powerful statements about your values as a candidate. Unfortunately, you have a primary before your have a general against Fred. I think you have missed an opportunity by not also looking at Nina’s funding. It could well be that there would be no discernable difference between the two of you, but it might have been another legitmate point of differentiation between the two Democrats.
